Editorial standards
Write for someone choosing software, whether they are planning personal work, creating content, or running a business. Use familiar language and explain necessary technical terms.
Make claims traceable
Name the official source and check date for a product description. Date volatile claims and qualify them by plan, platform, and region when relevant. Do not publish invented prices, reviews, users, awards, tests, ratings, or performance results. Do not borrow a vendor’s testimonial as our own observation.
Compare the actual decision
Explain the shared job and the tradeoff. Keep an unknown visible rather than converting it into a negative score. Do not call an app the best without a defined comparison scope and evidence that supports the conclusion.
Keep the reader’s task central
Guides should produce a usable brief, trial, comparison, or migration plan. A category page must help someone discover actual apps. Do not produce thousands of repetitive category combinations to inflate page count.
Correct on evidence
Use the contact route for a factual correction. Check the current source, update the affected representations, and add a dated explanation when the error materially changed the reader’s understanding. AI-assisted drafting does not establish a fact or a completed review.
